I am 78 years old and have been quite healthy and fit all my life doing several types of exercices/ activities / sports. In the last 10 years I have done 2 surgeries for knee replacements. Since then I have had difficulties trying to find the appropriate professionals that could understand some of my physical limitations. All the gymns and ac tivities that i tried i ended up giving up due long lasting pain in my legs and knees. As i started avoiding exercising i was loosing my balance and strenght and went through 2 unexpected falls.After that and searching for alternatives i found the Optimum Health and Performance group at Erina
This was a game changer in my life. I started doing an assessement and consultation with some follow ups and afterwards i started with the program of strenght and conditioning for over 65+. After a couple of weeks my overall health started improving as well started seeing real results in my balance and strenght being able to return to my routine life and doing some types of activities which I.had lost the ability to do.

I originally visited optimum health because of knee pain about 8 years ago. My knee pain went away after 2 visits with Helen. I now have arthritis due to my age 79 yrs old. I see Helen who helps me manage my pain very well. Helen explained what was going on very clearly in my joints. After good massaging by Helen and I do simple exercises now and it helps me so much.

Alex and Helen are amazing therapists. I'm so glad they were my first experience with Physios. I attended with bursitis in my shoulder, which i suffered with for several months. After a few visits, I couldn't believe the pain and my mobility were getting so much more manageable. I wish I had visited them sooner. I also learned a lot about my anatomy and it's Inner workings - they explain every step of the way about what they are doing and why. They are so welcoming and professional. as are all the staff at the Terrigal practice.

Having fractured three vertebrae 20 years ago and now having scoliosis, I needed a musculoskeletal physio to help alleviate my back pain and tension. Alex is wonderful. My range of movements steadily improved over the course of the year and my back no longer aches when it rains thanks to the various exercises and stretches that Alex has me doing. I could not recommend him highly enough.

The team were able to fit me in at short notice following a sports injury, Helen was great, knowledgeable and really helpful, I now have a plan to assist with recovery, even after one session have I much more mobility! Would definitely recommend!

I started seeing Alex in 2021 after being diagnosed with both Rheumatoid Disease and Bursitis in all my major joints.
At the time I could not walk more then 10 meters due to the extreme pain I was experiencing from the Bursitis in my hips.
My GP was pushing cortisone injections that absolutely terrified me...
Alex had me walking again within only a few months and continues to treat me now.
I can't thank Alex and his team enough for giving me some kind of life back.
I'll always have both these diseases but knowing that i've holistic support and treatment (that isn't scary) is such a blessing.

After enjoying a life time of sports the injuries accumulate. Alex and the team at Optimum have done wonders to improve my quality of life.
