Richard Mills
Physiotherapist
Richard's Profile
Meet Richard, a physiotherapist whose journey is as rich as it is varied. Growing up, Richard’s world revolved around skateboarding. This passion evolved into a love for surfing, snowboarding, and now, mountain biking and dabbling in climbing.
Richard’s diverse background also include a rich work history, including in the film and skateboard industries. It’s this varied experience, combined with a series of personal injuries, that ignited a deep-seated interest in physiotherapy.
Now, Richard channels this unique blend of experiences into helping others recover and thrive. With an empathy born from personal setbacks and a broad knowledge of physical disciplines, Richard offers a holistic approach to rehabilitation, making each recovery journey as dynamic and tailored as the person themselves.
Richard has an interest in injury prevention and rehabilitation for board sports (surfing, snowboarding, skateboarding) and mountain biking. However, his biggest driver is getting people back to what they want to be doing regardless of their background, age and whether those goals are return to sport, general physical activity, playing with the grandchildren or just getting through the day managing their pain experience.
To assist in these goals Richard is consistently updating his professional knowledge to keep up with the latest evidence-based practice. Richard has completed courses in cycling, running, the shoulder and online professional development in the management of the varied musculoskeletal conditions that walk through our doors.
