Helen's Profile
Helen graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) in 2011. She has always had a keen interest in sporting injuries, stemming from years of being involved in team sports. Helen plays hockey at a representative level and knows the frustration that comes from neck, back, shoulder and leg injuries and this is what drew her to follow a career in physio. Helen works full time at Optimum Health and Performance across the Erina and Wyong clinics and splits her time between her physiotherapy clients and running individual and group sessions of Clinical Pilates.
Helen has worked with rugby and hockey teams over the years for local, representative, state and national teams, including match day and training coverage, injury rehabilitation and preseason injury prevention.
Helen is a DMA Clinical Pilates instructor and enjoys tailoring individual Clinical Pilates programs, whether for injury management, chronic pain or improving sports performance.
She has a special interest in golf injuries and performance, having completed her Level 1 certification and Level 2 Medical certification with the Titleist Performance Institute. She runs golf biomechanical assessments to ensure her clients can develop the most consistent swing, with maximum power and distance.
In her spare time, Helen enjoys playing hockey and golf, getting to the beach and spending time with friends and family.
