Danielle's Profile
Danielle‘s passion for sport and exercise led her to complete an undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sport Science followed by a Masters of Physiotherapy at The University of Sydney. Combining the knowledge from her dual degrees provides Danielle with the special ability to offer her patients active management and rehabilitation of their injuries through a combination of hands on therapy and exercise rehabilitation.
As an experienced manual therapist who has worked in private practice for over 15 years, she has treated a wide variety of musculoskeletal and sports injuries, working together with other health professionals including Orthopaedic Surgeons, Sports Physicians, Dietitians, Podiatrists and Massage Therapists in order to achieve the best outcomes for her patients.
Danielle has worked with a number of sporting teams over the years within the NSW Suburban Rugby Competition, Ron Massey and Sydney Shield NSW Rugby League Competitions. A passionate hockey player herself, she has provided physiotherapy to field hockey teams competing at Local, State, National and International representative level.
Danielle’s areas of interest include:
- Sports injury rehabilitation with a special interest in ACL management
- The role of “Exercise as Medicine” in the management of chronic disease, such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and cancer
- Antenatal and Post-partum care / Pregnancy-related spinal and hip pain
- Headaches, dizziness and vertigo
- Neck and spinal pain
- Pre-Pointe Assessments for ballet dancers
Outside of the practice, Danielle enjoys playing hockey and spending as much time as she can with her family and friends.
